Most of you might have noticed that the Buyer's Guide doesn't list a single compatible AMD Radeon card at the moment. The "boot to black screen" issue as well as the broken sleep/wake have been fixed! Read below for details. Gigabyte's version of the RX 5700 XT is a little on the large side as well, so I had to rearrange the M.2 SSD PCIe adapter and USB 3.0 PCIe expansion from slots 2 & 3 to slots 3 & 4. Boot screens working with ATI 5870 on Catalina as well, but like expected no boot screen when using the RX 5700 XT. Successfully downloaded and upgraded to Catalina via dosdude1 patcher. I also know Apple recently confirmed the RX 5700 (and XT) for eGPU use with Catalina 10.15.1 or later here. Had an issue with downloading Mojave beforehand because I only had a Radeon 5870, which is not metal-supported, so I had to go down to High Sierra and had the cMP working again.
